Facts & Figures

Alan Walsh,
Managing Director at
Wincor Nixdorf in Ireland.

Alan Walsh was appointed Managing Director of Wincor Nixdorf Ireland in 2002. Winning the Bank of Ireland project and making it a success was the biggest challenge of his career to date. Walsh actually closed the first ever outsourcing deal for Wincor Nixdorf. “This was a big team success, from acquisition through to implementation,“ Walsh says. “We all had to think in completely new dimensions and handle the change from hardware supplier to end-to-end IT solutions provider under constant time pressure.“ In the Emerald Isle, the signs of the times in most quarters point to growth, with the national economy reporting growth well above the European average. Yet another company, the Royal Mail Group, has now also placed its ATM network operations in the capable hands of Wincor Nixdorf.
