Group sales for fiscal 2008/2009 declined by 3% to €2,250 million (2007/2008: €2,319 million). Adjusted for currency fluctuation between the euro and the U.S. dollar, net sales were down 5%. However, the exchange rate impact of a resurgent U.S. dollar was largely offset by the weakening of other currencies.
