The Banking Cycle: optimization in bank branches
For years now, Wincor Nixdorf has been optimizing cash handling for retail banks through its innovative cash recycling systems for the self-service zone and the front office. Since this closed cash cycle allows deposited cash to be released for withdrawals after authentication and fitness testing, banks can significantly reduce their workload and expenses.
Seamless exchange of cassettes.
The CINEO systems’ banknote storage concept represents a genuine innovation. For the first time, these intelligent end-to-end cassettes allow the exchange of cash between the invidividual cash points and thus support for the cash cycle within the bank branch. Cash that is deposited at the bank counter into an automated teller safe can, for example, be used for direct replenishment of the ATMs in the self-service zone. In conjunction with the corresponding software application, the intelligent banknote storage concept thus enables the seamless exchange of the same cassette between different cash points.
Replenishment and removal processes between systems in the self-service zone, the front office and the back office are thus optimized in a closed cash cycle that is also significantly more efficient. This considerably reduces not just work, but also the risk of robberies and errors, and makes cash handling in bank branches faster, more secure and more cost-effective.
Data ensures transparency.
On the whole, the innovative note storage concept means cash cycle transparency and maximum audit compliance, and even enables the exchange of cash between bank branches. Precise information on the value of cash in the cassette, the dates of its use and the paths it has taken are available anytime it is needed. This maximizes process transparency while minimizing manual cash handling. |
