Employee Self-Service

Companies are using employee portals to improve their internal flow of information. Wincor Nixdorf's ESS terminals enable all employees, regardless of their work location, to access their personal HR data or company data, both generally available information and access-protected privileged information. Employees can also communicate directly with HR, for example to request vacation time, correct their time sheets, or change their address details, among other tasks.

• Optimization potential. Information becomes available immediately, at all locations and without costly paper handling. ESS terminals are great for optimizing workflows and reducing administrative effort and potential sources of error.

• Security. ESS terminal devices, such as our ProPrint 2000 and ProInfo 1000, can provide secure, protected communication of personal data by using an integrated card reader to authenticate users and by restricting access to a limited subset of functions to ensure safe browsing of personal data.

Other security features include automatic retraction of any printouts left behind, a display privacy filter and an additionally installable privacy shield. These features provide a level of security far higher than is possible with a normal PC set-up.
