Energy-Efficient Processor Technology
Energy-efficient Intel X-Series processors are used in all BEETLE POS systems. The X-Series uses a mobile, ultra-low-voltage Celeron M processor with a maximum consumption of only 5 watts.

80 PLUS-Compliant Power Supplies
All BEETLE POS systems are equipped with 80 PLUS power supplies which boast an 80% efficiency rate, a third better than conventional power supplies.

Flash Memory Technology
Wincor Nixdorf increasingly uses flash storage memory, allowing for power consumption of less than one watt, significantly lower than current hard disk drives.

Power Supply From the System
All peripherals are powered from the system, eliminating the need for separate power supplies and their associated energy losses.

Longer Service Life
Wincor Nixdorf equipment is designed for ruggedness and long service life of up to 12 years, and easy upgradability and migration, protecting users' investments and lowering environmental impact by reducing waste.

Intelligent Power Management
BEETLE POS systems can be switched into various power-saving modes to enable power consumption to be controlled in line with demand.

Environmental Standards Are More Than Just An Obligation
Our systems are designed to avoid use of hazardous materials. Lead and nickel-cadmium batteries have been replaced by modern nickel-metal hybrid batteries. The packaging is made from environmentally-friendly materials. Polystyrene and synthetic materials are used minimally, only where they cannot be avoided. Protecting the environment is an integral part of company policy for Wincor Nixdorf and has been for decades. Several years ago, the company introduced an environmental management system that has been regularly audited in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 14001 standard by the German Management System Certification Society (DQS).

All of these measures contribute to minimizing the environmental 'footprint' of our systems while also reducing operating costs for our clients.
