For Wincor Nixdorf, Maier has undertaken many international assignments in countries that include China, Hong Kong, Austria, Australia and now the UK. Maier lives in the UK and is married with two children..

Ian Elms was appointed as HR Director for Wincor Nixdorf UK in November 2009. Prior to Ian joining Wincor Nixdorf, he spent the previous 13 years at Woolworths plc holding various senior HR roles. His broad HR experience has been gained from generalist roles across Retail, Distribution and Corporate environments, and is underpinned by specialist roles/experience in HR Reward and Labour Relations, Organisation Design and Development, Shared Services and HR Systems. Before starting his career in HR he had previous roles in IT, Sales, Distribution and Management Accountancy across various sectors, Retail, B2B and Manufacturing, in organisations varying in size from 28,000 to 100 employees.

Having led the Service operations with considerable success, Mary Rowen was appointed Services Director in November 2011. Mary brings with her a wealth of experience, having worked in a variety of Support Services, transformational programs and leadership roles spanning maintenance, managed services and software solutions.Prior to joining Wincor Nixdorf, Mary ran a very successful Managed Services Organisation for an IT Technology provider and was responsible for growing its profitability, expanding its portfolio and improving service delivery levels.

 
John Ennis

John Ennis

John Ennis is the Banking Director for Wincor Nixdorf in the UK, responsible for the UK Company’s Financial Services business. John’s commitment to his customers and leadership has led the UK Banking Division to having the fastest services and solutions growth over a five year period for the entire corporation. Over the same period, John has profitably grown Wincor Nixdorf banking market share in the UK and opened new business with all UK Financial Institutions.
John’s career started with NatWest Bank, and progressed through a variety of IT, Project and Account management roles, to head up the self service channel of the UK’s largest ATM network. Accredited with making the NatWest self service channel the most innovative and profitable in the UK.

 
Martin Smethurst

Martin Smethurst

Martin Smethurst was appointed Retail Director for Wincor Nixdorf UK in October 2011. Having worked in a variety of IT sales leadership roles spanning maintenance, managed services and software solutions over 20 years, Martin brings with him a wealth of Retail experience to drive further growth for the Retail Division.Most recently Head of Retail Sales at Cisco where he was tasked with reshaping its sales strategy; this was an unqualified success and Martin was able to more than double the sales revenue in 3 years. Martin has also been Sales Director for MicroStrategy and IntelliQ focusing on providing Retail customers valuable insight into loss prevention, basket analysis and daily sales.Martin’s career started out in electronic and computer engineering, working on some of the largest chemical refinery plants and power stations across the world.
