CER (Component Engineering Request)

What is 'CER'?

CER is the Component Engineering Request form. This form should be submitted by the requestor with physical samples to Wincor Nixdorf Singapore for first article (Erstmuster) approval or certification/qualification of the commodity.

Why is it needed for?

This is to ensure the sample submitted will not be lost but be handed over to the respective IQA personnel for inspection based on the information provided.
Some of the reasons are as follows:

Engineering Change Note (ECN), End Of Life (EOL), Rev. Change, Cost Saving (CS), Material Change (MQ), Source Qualification (SQ), New Tool Qualification (TQ) and so on.
Each CER form has its own CER number for tracing the submitted sample, where the requestor has to access the IQC ShareDrive S:\Share\Operations - Div Share\TQM\FA STATUS and keep the supplier informed of the FA status.

What needs to be done?

The form should be completed with information to avoid unnecessary delays in finding the needed details. If unclear, you can refer to the explanation note which states the required information and the critical information needed. They are both highlighted in yellow and red.

If you have any queries, please feel free to call your initiator/requestor for clarification.
