In its RETAIL HORIZONS program, that is largely identical with the METRO Group Future Store Initiative in terms of target and concept, Wincor Nixdorf describes its leading-edge store technology strategy for retailers. Personal Shopping Assistant (PSA)
Wincor Nixdorf supplies the personal shopping assistant that revolutionizes the shopping experience. The mobile device leads the customer through the Extra Future Store in Rheinberg with due regard to his/her individual needs: The consumer can use it to manage his/her shopping list and ask for a display of the route to a given product, among others. The checkout process is sped up considerably by the functionality for the self-scanning of the products during shopping.

Moreover, Wincor Nixdorf provides modular, scalable kiosk terminals and electronic advertising displays for the Extra Future Store. The terminals offer product information, direction-advice functionality and access to the employee portal "mymetro.de", among others.
