Wincor Nixdorf offers new standard software for ATMs in multivendor networks
Vendor-independent ATM software ProCash/IFX
Wincor Nixdorf is the first company worldwide to develop standardized ATM software for multivendor networks. The software ensures a smooth processing of various banking transactions, such as cash withdrawals and account statements, and simplifies the implementation of new business processes. With ProCash/IFX, financial institutions can operate ATMs from different vendors with just one software system. The move to a single system results in lower operating costs as multiple solutions no longer need to be maintained.
ProCash/IFX enables an intelligent connection between the host and end systems. The software is based on the important Interactive Financial eXchange (IFX) reporting standard used by financial institutions for processing numerous transactions. The software also supports several new functions, such as check scanning, intelligent deposits and cash authenticity checks.
ProCash/IFX, which was developed with the ProTopas 4.0 software environment, provides an open software platform based on CEN/XFS 2.0 and CEN/XFS 3.0.
Commenting on the new development, Reinhard Rabenstein, Vice President at Wincor Nixdorf, said: "As a vendor-independent reporting standard, IFX allows financial institutions to integrate all types of transactions in terminals supplied by different manufacturers. With ProCash/IFX, we are offering our customers a uniform, vendor-independent software that enables, entire self-service networks to be operated with just one ATM software system. The key benefits of this software solution for financial institutions are reduced integration costs, reusability of system developments and lower training costs".
Wincor Nixdorf has been a member of the IFX Forum since February 2002 and has played an active roll in the ATM/POS workgroup. This group is largely focused on developing new reporting formats to support ATMs, POS systems and other devices.
