Wincor World 2012 at new site with proven concept and cutting-edge topics
A new trade fair site, a proven concept and cutting-edge topics, including solutions for cash management, the redesign of branches and branch processes, end-to-end security in retail banking and innovative checkout processes at retail companies and global services – to name just a few of the highlights at Wincor World 2012.
From October 16 to 18, 2012, Wincor World invites IT and business decision-makers, board directors and managers from all over the world to join in the discussion on solutions that can be used to optimize processes at retail banks and retail companies. Together with numerous partner exhibitors, Wincor Nixdorf will present holistic solutions from its portfolio for banks and retailers, as well as for related sectors, such as postal services, railway and public transport, service stations and hospitality. The trade fair will take place for the first time this year at the A2 Forum in Rheda Wiedenbrück. As in years past, a prominent feature of the event is the targeted transfer of know-how through a program of presentations.
Innovative cash processes in retail banking
Constantly growing margin pressure, increasing competition and the expansion of delivery and communication channels are drivers for retail banks to invest in IT and automation solutions. Using a host of practical exhibits, Wincor World will show how banks can make their processes more cost-effective and more customer-friendly. Wincor Nixdorf promises more efficiency, transparency and security, for example, through the use of its Cash Cycle Management Solutions. New business cases show the savings potential that can be achieved in the bank branches through using the CINEO system generation with ATMs, cash recycling systems and automated teller safes with uniform note storage for cash handling.
Another focus of Wincor World will be software solutions that map workflows in retail banks in a customer-friendly and sales-oriented manner, as well as software that can be used to manage and optimize systems and processes.
Protection against fraudulent attacks is a growing concern for banks. Ad hoc measures are no longer enough; end-to-end security solutions are the order of the day. Wincor World will therefore be focusing on innovative and networked solutions that proactively prevent attacks on individual systems, delivery channels and processes in banks.
Banks seeking to reopen, redesign, or optimize their branches will also find solutions at Wincor World that help them achieve greater customer focus.
IT solutions for global retail
Increasing globalization, ever faster innovation cycles and the merging of technologies into integrated solutions continue to pose new challenges to retail companies. Wincor Nixdorf is therefore showing holistic solutions that help enhance customers’ shopping experience, assign employees more efficiently and increase business performance.
One of the focuses will be on attended and self-service checkout solutions for various store formats. The new 360 Scan Portal, in particular, has the potential to revolutionize the checkout zone. Wincor Nixdorf will use the portal to show how the checkout process can be speeded up significantly and the processes in the stores improved.
The reorganization of the cash processes in the stores also promises high optimization potential: Wincor Nixdorf will be presenting its Cash Cycle Management Solutions portfolio which allows cash processes from the POS and the back office to cash transport to be optimized. The automation technology portfolio is rounded off by solutions for reverse vending or electronic product labeling.
In the shape of the TP Application Suite, Wincor Nixdorf will be presenting a software that was developed into a uniform software platform for all channels – from stationary retailing and outdoor sales to e-commerce. Other focal points for software solutions for retailers are mobile components for optimized customer service and improved staff productivity. Added to these are software solutions for centralized management, control and monitoring of entire store landscapes.
Cutting-edge services
At Wincor World the company will be presenting its global portfolio of cutting-edge services for banks and retail companies. A special emphasis this year will be on global services to support customers expanding globally. Wincor Nixdorf provides these customers with internationally standardized services at a consistently high level of quality. Sample projects will be presented using actual data.
Alongside the global provisioning and availability services, the focus topics also include standardized solutions for operating the self-service systems and the information and communication infrastructure. In the processing of cashless transactions and in cash cycle management, Wincor Nixdorf will show precisely how cash flows can be better managed taking the example of cash logistics and cash order management.
In addition, various outsourcing approaches will be presented for completely outsourcing or managing large self-service networks, complex IT infrastructures or applications externally. Extensive business advantages can thus be exploited thanks to optimized processes and reduced costs.
