Almost all retailers strive to optimize the checkout areas of their stores, the key challenges being to create a positive shopping experience and reduce waiting lines, while also streamlining costs. This is where Wincor Nixdorf’s automated solutions can make a significant contribution. They allow customers to scan and pay for their goods at self-checkout terminals or alternatively, to use a mobile scanner to scan the products themselves and then pay at a self-service payment point. Because each of the modules can be configured in different ways, we are able to offer end-to-end solutions that can be tailored to customer requirements as a self-checkout solution or a self-service payment point. Our solutions for retailers also extend beyond the checkout area to encompass other self-service and automation solutions, including reverse vending and special kiosk solutions that can offer price reductions via customer cards and accept orders. IT Services for Retailers.
As in the case of our IT services for banks, our internationally standardized IT services for retailers ensure best-in-class availability and cost-efficient operation of systems. They are particularly attractive to retailers on global growth trajectories, as the outline agreements are valid worldwide and the services identical whatever the location. Retailers therefore no longer need to negotiate special provisions for specific countries and can gradually deploy services in the countries of their choice.
