Reverse vending: the new modular product generation
A good combination
Wincor Nixdorf can now look back on several years as an established provider of complete reverse vending solutions: The ideal combination of hardware and software ensures optimized reverse vending processes, while Wincor Nixdorf’s services guarantee maximum solution availability. At the same time, these solutions can be tailored precisely to each customer's individual requirements. At Wincor World 2011, the company will present its new modular solution platform, the new revendy for sales outlets with little available space and RVplus for additional customer benefit.
With the new Revendo product generation, Wincor Nixdorf has developed a modular, platform-based concept that combines a standardized, especially high-quality module for the recognition of single bottles with different chassies for stand-alone solutions (Revendo 9010) and the respective backroom components for through-the-wall solutions (Revendo 9020). This platform has the advantage that different customer requirements can be implemented fast, flexibly and at optimized cost. The standalone solution Revendo 9010 and the through-the-wall solution Revendo 9020 will replace the previous Revendo generation. The new single bottle recognition module is equipped with a larger display that can be used to present advertising messages in an eye-catching way. It also features soft keys to which a variety of functions can be assigned, including language selection or an issuing function. What’s more, the processing speed and service life of the components have been increased significantly.
The right backroom solution for all customer requirements
Depending on the customer’s requirements, the single bottle recognition module can be combined with a variety of backroom components, e.g. a bottle table, a compactor or a conveying and sorting line. The backroom solutions now feature an even more space-saving design, allowing Wincor Nixdorf to offer an ideal solution even in cases where space is very limited.
revendy – the economical solution
This new, compact solution has been designed especially for small sales outlets with a low return volume. Due to its small footprint of only 0.77 square meters, revendy is even suitable for convenience stores, service stations, canteens and duty-free shops at airports.
RVplus – offering customers added value. The RVplus software for reverse vending solutions provides both retailers and consumers with added value, e.g. in the form of couponing. In the case of static couponing, the same coupon is issued to every customer. With dynamic couponing, on the other hand, the coupon varies with the type of container or the recycled brand.
Increased system availability
All this is flanked by Wincor Nixdorf’s extensive range of services. With the help of its consulting tool RVSim retailer-specific data can be used to simulate the daily routine and orient the solution’s configuration to the customer’s individual requirements. In addition, Wincor Nixdorf also offers hardware and software management as well as remote system maintenance via the eServices platform. This often eliminates the need for site visits by technicians, while increasing system availability and providing retailers with maximum transparency on the status of their reverse vending.
