Wincor Nixdorf Retail Consulting takes responsibility for mySAP introduction at Bon appétit Wincor Nixdorf Retail Consulting GmbH commenced work in mid-June 2002 on the introduction of the integrated standard software mySAP at Swiss group Bon appétit. The Bon appétit Group is the leading company in the Swiss grocery business, offering services to the hospitality trade and retailers. The Group concentrates on three key business areas Hospitality, Retail and Logistics Services. "Introducing the new ERP system is intended to replace the heterogeneous system environment which, to date, has been characterized by a large number of interfaces", explained Hans Kartali, responsible as General Project Manager for the "Challenge Plus" initiative at Bon appétit Group AG. Implementing the materials management function of the company's highly complex organization onto mySAP is a real challenge, according to Achim Sieren, Chief Executive of Wincor Nixdorf Retail Consulting. The implementation is covering all mySAP components relevant to retailers, not just mySAP Retail but also the financial accounting and controlling module (FI/CO), Asset Management (AM), Human Resources (HR), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and the mySAP BW data warehouse. Use of the integrated mySAP products is intended to simplify business processes at the same time as increasing data quality and improving customer satisfaction. One key area is the integration of the innovative components Interaction Center, Internet Sales, Mobile Sales and Portals, primarily aimed at easing the workload of the call center when it comes to processing wholesale orders. By harnessing these channels to market, Bon appétit also wants to open up new routes to the end customer. Topping off the whole project is the integration of SAP Retail Store within the stores themselves and introduction, at Group level, of the data warehousing solution mySAP BW. Wincor Nixdorf Retail Consulting is the prime contractor responsible for handling the project, assisted by its partners, SAP (Schweiz) AG and Swiss company The Information Management Group (IMG). The entire project is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2004.
