Depositing cash or checks in bundles
With its Cash/Check Deposit Module (CCDM), Wincor Nixdorf offers the option of depositing cash or checks in bundles of 50 banknotes or 50 checks. This solution was the first automated bundled check deposit solution in the world. It simplifies the entire process of depositing and processing checks and significantly reduces administrative effort and expense. At the same time, it enables full electronic check processing, from deposit all the way to crediting the customer’s account. The crediting process is accelerated, since there is no need for either filling out forms when submitting checks or the post-processing of deposited amounts.
The solution interprets the amount stated on the check and displays it to the customer for confirmation. The customer can then, if desired, print out a receipt with the images of the submitted checks and other relevant transaction data. If multiple checks are submitted, the amounts are totaled and combined on one receipt.
With the bundle deposit feature, Wincor Nixdorf’s CCDM developers considered not just the needs of consumers, but also those of merchants and small retailers. This future-oriented approach makes check deposit not just faster, but also more secure than the individual deposit of multiple checks.
